Care Africa’s major program is education and sponsorship. The organization supports children and youth in primary and secondary.
The program beneficiaries are support with tuition, scholastic materials and school requirements and monitoring them at school to assess their performance and progress.
Hair dressing project is imparting skills in hair dressing to vulnerable girls from the community. Most of the trainees are school drop outs and teenage mothers. The major aim of this project is to support girls acquire skills for their employment or self-employment. .
Care Africa conducts and supports children to appreciate their culture and other peoples. This is done through the use of music dance and drama. Children are trained in music dance and drama every weekend. Children are trained in dance of different cultures with in the country.
Mothers of supported children and girls dropped out of school are trained in tailoring. Care Africa offers free training to the women and girls to be able to use the acquired skill for employment or self-employed to be able to support themselves and their families. Trainees have learnt how to make shirts, dresses, sanitary pads and skirts. ..
HIV/AIDS/STD is real among people in the community particularly the youth, so, the organization has been educating and motivating people about HIV/AIDS/STD. Already the people of the working areas have become aware about the seriousness of the diseases so they are trying to practice HIV/AIDS/STD education.
We support children, youth and teenage mothers to acquire skills in different training on interests, skills and capability of the beneficiary, provision of necessary training materials and tool kits; we also sport and develop their talents in musical dance and drama, computer skills, games and sports.
